Pictures from LGBT Noise Launch March for Marriage, February 14, 2012.

LGBT Noise, in partnership with Trinity and UCD LGBT Societies, gathered outside Leinster House on Valentine’s Day – from 1-3pm where they were giving out chocolates as a statement to the government to ‘have a heart’ and open up the choice of full civil marriage to all the citizens and residents of Ireland. LGBT Noise will also launch the date of their now annual event, the March for Marriage, which will take place on Sunday the 12th of August.

LGBT NOISE strongly urges the government to listen to the repeated calls highlighting the inequalities of civil partnership legislation and stop lagging behind Spain, Sweden, Norway, Canada, Argentina, Iceland, South Africa and Belgium, and commit to lifting the ban on same-sex marriage today.

ABOUT NOISE
Founded in November 2007, Noise is an independent non-party political group which is campaigning for the provision of civil marriage for all people in Ireland irrespective of gender and sexual identity. Noise is also active in highlighting other areas of discrimination against LGBT (Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) people.

I just couldn’t hold my tears watching this, I’m still shaking a little…

After I watched this, I started looking at all the walls of my bedroom, and wanted to scream, but not even my voice while I’m writing this came or is coming out, the only question I just have is one: how many of us have to die before accepting the way we are, that we’re born this way, and that we are wonderful and beautiful people…?

I don’t live in the USA, I’m just a latin american girl, which is worst, because at least USA is doing something for the gay rights, here, the people are “barely” aware of our existance and most of them sees it as a sin, even when they acknowledge us we still just don’t have respect, gladly, at least here in my country we still are in the “base” so we can start building the behaviour, a proper behaviour, a behaviour of acceptance…

At least in USA people can move to some states and get married, but here…? We just have to plan our lives towards two decisions: move to Argentina or move to another country where we can get married, it’s like expelling us from our own home for being ourselves.

I’m an english teacher and I always try to teach my students to have respect for people like us, I get furious everytime I hear the typical statement: “better a thief, a junkie or a prostitute than gay.” I had in another class a gay student and was glad that his classmates were so caring about him, they supported him and keep doing it, even the teachers, when we met on the council they were so cautious about him to feel in a safe enviroment, that made me believe that not everything is that bad, but even so, when I watched this video I just couldn’t hold my tears thinking about him, even when I should be crying about myself for being lesbian and going through all the looks and take care with my behaviour so the principal don’t fire me for being lesbian… but I thought about him and how many hard times he’s having in his university for studying something that he doesn’t like, so people close to his home could have a little respect…, damn, he wants to be a professional dancer.

Because of him and many girls and boys who doesn’t feel safe, I swear, I will give all the fighting possible, so people like me could live in a fair and loving country and also have pride for it.

To the people reading this I just wanna say something to you:

I love you, for being beautiful and being YOU :)

Happy International Day of Tolerance! it should be like this EVERYDAY!, so the people could learn to live properly, acepting everyone the way they are, with our colors, sexual orientation, and ideas, to build a better world, because if we are always paying attention to our differences, we’re gonna waste valueable time, which it should be used with aims that we all seek; DOWN WITH THE RACISM AND HOMOPHOBY! LEARN TO LIVE AND LET LIVE WITH DIGNITY!

Poeple must learn to have empaty and respect who are different to them, remember this “if you spill up it will get down tomorrow”, they’re gonna have children: sons, daughters, grandsons and granddaughters and they won’t know what they’re going to choose for their lives, not only sexual preference and skin color also culture, politics ideas, economic situation, age, otakus, kpopers, and so on.

Remember the one we irrespect today, maybe could be the person who help us they day we most need it.

Happy Day!

APRENDAN A VIVIR Y DEJAR VIVIR DIGNAMENTE!
